Our Legacy

Arthur L. "Al" Bateman has over 30 years of experience in real estate sales, project management, financial management, acquisition, planning and development of residential communities.

His list of accomplishments includes the development and sale of large-scale, 1,300 to 5,500 acre communities in Houston, Dallas and New Orleans before he turned his attention to Naples, Florida.

Since moving to Naples in 1987, his talent and expertise for planning and developing successful communities has been widely recognized within the Naples real estate industry, where he has been responsible for some of Naples finest award-winning condominium neighborhoods. Without exception, they have been marked by the highest quality construction standards and rapid sell-outs. You can be assured that our development team is always striving to deliver homes superior in size, quality, and features to homes of similar design and comparable prices.

The Past

The Bateman Communities Inc. legacy was launched with Beau Chene at Pinewoods, a 78 home condominium neighborhood. Begun in 1988, Beau Chene sold out in 24 months and the Bateman name was established. Success followed success with Steeplchase at King's Lake, which offered 72 residences and sold out 18 months after its 1990 introduction.

The Bateman success story continued in the spring of 1995, when 88 residences were sold at Spinnaker Pointe in Windstar after less than 18 months of sales. Bateman then immediately began plans for the development of 84 homes at Clubside Reserve in Vineyards, all of these beautiful coach homes were sold by September 1997. Previous Bateman Communities developments include Lely Resort, Kensington and The Strand in Naples.

The Present

Today the legacy continues with highly innovative, luxurious coach homes in the following Southwest Florida country club communities; Legacy and Hawthorne at Lely Resort, San Marino and Montebello at Miromar Lakes.

In a constant effort to meet homeowners needs, we recently introduced Naples' only award-winning "Product design of The Year" Four-bedroom, 3 bath, plus den, coach home plan. The two, three, four bedroom, plus den designs, overlooking lakes and championship golf course views, include attached two-car garages and an optional private elevator to second floor units with many other luxury features. Innovations like these are what distinguish a Bateman home.
